Heh, yeah the "Old Buzzard" in blue directly behind her is my old man. He mentioned something about a big pile-up at the beginning. I hope he didn't mow you down - it looks like he's coming right at you in the pic.

When i wrecked, it wasn't that bad, but to see the pictures...... it's amazing that I wasn't "mowed" over.

dhines, Actually I witnessed your dad do an excellant job swinging away from Traci as she rolled, sliding in to first base slowing down looking at her as she got up.

Traci we figured you slid on your back about 10 feet. weeee

I hate to watch those starts! She should be good now since Traci has been very consistant at rolling her quad at the first turn at one GNCC every year for the past 3 years. I will feel much better now at the starts knowing that she has done her yearly deed. :macho

Great picture of the women's and "Old Buzzards" start. I was definitely relieved to avoid hitting Traci as she rolled out in front of me! Things get so crowded and happen so fast that you dont have time to think---just react. Its bad enough to have your heart pounding at the start of a race, and an old guy like me doesn't need any surprises like this. So,Traci, keep your butt firmly planted on your seat in the future!! Good race even with the tumble!

P.S.----I may be old and slow but an "Old Buzzard"---NEVER!!! (I hope) :p
