yup I know, my pants and my kids shoes use to melt on it all the time. I final made an aluminum shield to fix that problem. I just havn't decided on what color to Powder coat it. Probly Mirror black because hopefully with in the next day or so I will do my side cases in trans red with black bolts. the oil fillter cover will be mirror black with polished bolts on it and black oil stick. So it most likely will be done in mirror black. I have also kicked the idea around about just polishing it and doing mirror black flames comeing up from the bottom. not for sure if that would make it "too much" and simpler would be better or what.

That looks awesome man!!! How does ur motor compare to stock, how much do you think you spent on it? Im debating whether to do a 350X conversion or mod the 300ex motor. Thanx alot for ur help!!!

I did all the work my self. I don't think I even came close to $1,000
I would say around $700-$800 but I'm not positive. as far as how it compares to stock, there is no compareing. My buddy has a 400 and I can stay with him with out trying to run the crap out of mine, Only bad thing is I hit the rev limit way to easy. My brother-in-law has a 250x that we bored to a 265 it has a 300ex carb and the same muffler system as mine and I can pull away from him ridding a wheelie. If I keep the front end on the ground by taken off in second he doesn't even have a prayer, same goes for a stock 300 or even one with some modding done. But I have heard that the 350x is faster than a 400ex, I have only heard that. So If you can find one for under $800 you would probly be better off, you will lose the electric start though but you could always sell your 300ex motor and pretty much get back what you paid for the 350x another plus.
