My freind says that 250r's are 'legendary' quads and are better that the 400ex, is this true?:confused:

depends on your standpoint of view. i think they are because im a 2 stroke rider. i had a 400ex and didnt like the power band and the engine compression brake

i like the 4 stroke power cuz i can play ride and mess around and have nice smooth power i can ride everything with it but it lacks power

IMHO the 250r is the best, most well rounded quad ever produced.

That would be awesome. Isnt service honda or some other company putting a cr250 engine in a 400ex frame???

would surprise me if DW is just bullsh*ting as usual. I emailed service honda about it and they havent responded yet.

I did too, and I'm still waiting for my email. They did have a picture of it though. It would probably be worth the $8000.

IMO, it is probably the most rounded overall quad ever built, and back in the day, it was only 3k, lol

A guy I ride with has the original reciept for his 86. It would've been nice to have one for my 89.

Ya i wouldnt doubt it, but how many horsepower are they, oh ya, and y did they quit making them?:confused:

They quit making them back in 1989 because Honda was getting the sh*t sued out of them. HP numbers are probably in the mid 30's, they out handle just about any quad, and they are very reliable.
