View Full Version : Another broken bolt question for you guys!

All right put on the Pro Design shifter last week and after riding it over the weekend realized I wanted to adjust the lever, well the bolt head is MIA. It looks as if I may of overtigtened it, now the rest of the bolt is through the shifter and I have to find a way to get it out, WHILE not ruining the shift shaft splines?


ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED. SHOOT ALL YOUR THOUGHTS AT THIS ONE!

Grind a slot in the bolt with a Dremel and then back it out with a flat head screwdriver.

use a left hand drill bit to drill a hole in the center of the bolt.then use and eazy-out to get the bolt out.somtimes the left hand drill bit will catch the bolt while drilling and back it out for you.
