are there gaskets that go on where the header bolts on? and if so if I take the headers off to grind the welds do I have to buy new gaskets?

Yes there are copper gaskets there. If it's the first time you've taken the header off and you are carefull you don't need new ones.

i think the gaskets' were only like 4 or 5 dollars for both of them, i'd pick up a set just incase!
