WEll, I did it... I have looked until Im blue in the face fro some ideas on cut fenders for the predator and only found one and I didnt care for the "fang": look to them..So here it is...:D Now ,keep in mind.. I havent done any buffing or shaping them nice yet, just cut.. So what do you think?? heres before......

Talk about the bug eye look. Those fendors look so high, I wonder how much protection you get anyway.
I sat on one the other day at our dealer, I was actually suprised that if felt smaller that my 400. I bet you fit on it pretty good. I like the gray/sliver plastic though.

I know you guys are gonna rag on me.. but personallt i dont care for it. I think if you cut where the stock line in the fenders are would look much better IMO. But as long as ya like it.

Im not gonna rag on you..;) everyone has different taste..:) On this style of femders, its a lot dif to cut on than honda plastic and its set up different There is one pic of the fenders in a ATV mag, I personally dont like them,they have sharp fangs on them,but Im sure others may like them... Im sure Ill be the first around here to have them cut

u should have cut them like the predetor in the last dirtwheels,,, that was pictured *** going throuhg a three day race or somehting... those fenders looked hot:eek2:

I have nothing to compare too,so I think I did pretty good !!! I may change a few things and take off the brackets now that I dont need them for the front fenders...

It looks good but I think if I had it i'd cut more off though.
Yesterday I went riding with my dad and I spent some time on his new 400ex. Wow I can't beleive how much I actually wanted to look through the fenders. When I was in the air it was hard to exactly tell when I was coming down and I couldn't even tell hardly when the front end was on or off the ground. My dad already wants to chop em':D

for those who didnt see the pred. in dirt wheels , it looked alittle like this,, this is how i would ahve done mine, but if u dont like the points, i understand, and in that case i think u did a great job

well, Im going to cut it farther back and follow the line a bit, I cant cut it as far as I would like to w/o taking off the braces on the fenders because of the way it is set up under the handlebars,so ill post some more pics and you all can tell me if it looks better,.;)

in my opinion that looks much better, because the whole quad has sort of thatrough edge look to it, even in the rear fenders, thats why i diodnt think ur first cut looked so good
and thats basicly what i was thinking, without the points

I mean the ones on the fenders... WE tok a closer look, and it looks like it will be just fine, but just a hassle to get to to take it off, maybe when Im bored Ill give it a try, if you cut them this way, plaes post them, I would love to see how they turned out.. I kinda like being different, so I may keep them this way also..;)

should shave a hair more.. it looks good tho.. imagine if they made a decent looking rear fender :confused:

I think it looks a lot better. You thinking about trimming the rear fenders? I trimmed a little off mine to keep less mud sticking to them making the fenders more rigid, lightet and you don't have to worry about it catching as much when it rolls over. lol i'm gonna shut the heII up now. Oh yeah, whats next? Nerfs, bars, polishing?

the fenders arent that bad, except for me cause im 6'4'' lol, but then again i have yet to ride a quad that i dont hit my knees on the fenders. lol thats why i cut my exs and im contemplating on doin the same to my predator.

qj i think he's talking about where the gret plastic (it says preitor on it) where it ends and it goes black again for the gas tanks :)

We went out to pickle butte today. It was just the usuall stuff. Are you ready to go back to the mx track yet? The big track is almost ready to ride on!! You can go for the big air on that track. 85ft grand stand has your name on it. 5th gear, 1/4 throttle gets you over it. Let me know when you guys want to go and i will let you in. chat with you guys later.

sorry, i meant the actual fender part where it flares out...not where it has the gap. the gap doesnt bother me. word is that fullbore is comin out with race-cut fenders without the gap though...:eek2: :D
goin to echeconnee next weekend to do a little racin, my rear caliper was jumping so i had my dealer fix it..anybody else had that problem? my friends is doin the same thing just not as bad cause he dont ride as much. lata

Could you define what you men by caliper jumping??? I know that htere may be a connection (the caliper) with the brake drag issue....:)
