alright i scrapped the idea of getting an R for those of you who read my post in open forum and decided to get some new suspension componets. Alright heres the situation i have just a little over 1200 bucks and i was looking on housers site about there long travel from a arms the plus 1inch versions or the plus 3 inchers, what braklines would i need? or would i need any for the plus 1s? And for front shocks does works sell steelers that are 19inches?

I was thinkig just get the Long Travel +1s and some elka dualrates with rezzys for about 1250 if i dont have to get brake lines.

Or should i just go with regular a arms? some plus 2s and elka shocks, if i get regular arms i will also get a wider rear axle. but what about rear shocks? I heard the stock honda rear was pretty good should i get it revalved and from who?

Thanks

go +2's and some good shocks. a LT set up with elka's or pep is gonna be over your posted budget. i dont think works makes a steeler in 19in but i could be wrong.

a arms $500 elkas $750 = 1250$ close enough?

no i was going to get the elkas from www.motojoe.com they have dual rate elkas with rezzys for 525! and the +1 in lt a arms are 725 that is exactly 1250 also.

what aobut rear suspension? or axles?

Dont make that mistake. Buy from C&D racing, our sponsors.

the prices i posted are based on c&d's pricing using houser +2 and elka tripple rate with rezzies.

if nh wants LT ...its gonna be pointless using dual rate non rezzy shocks on that set up.

i dont mind someones 2 cents.....its the know it alls that leave a penny that get me:p

dont get a long travel front if ur gunna just get a rear rebuild and stock link. i think to get the best out of a LT front u need a full rear shock with a CR 500 link or another rear end then stock.

If i were u i would get:

Houser a arms - 525
Pep Limited mass - 795

its a little over the price limit but dont go cheap with suspension

how much does the revaling on the rear cost? evetually i will get a new rear end but im working on the front now ive only got 1250 but buy the time i get arround to buy this i may have 1350 or so.

Anyway the shocks are cheaper at motojoe for dualrate elka WITH rezzys. I still dont know about the long travel setup it wold be 200 cheaper to go with plus 2s on the front then i could get a axle whats a good 250-300 dollar axle or should i save up for something more?

why not just save a lil more... get the absolute best you can afford and then you only have to do it once. if its LT that ya want then there ya go:p

ok i guess i can wait and see i should get atleast 200 from all my relatives in my family, we have a big family, and buy the time my birthday gets here i should have 1450 or so plus b-day money turns to 1650 maybe a bit more if my parents can help.

So at 1650 heres what i have

If i go LT i get plus 1 lt arms, elkas from moto joe that 1250 say revalving for 200 and a elminator axle for 250 that a little over the limit but close.

If i just go with plus 2 arms and elkas that 1050 a elminator axle for 250 that 1300 and then a revalve for 200 that 1500 i could go with a better axle and adjustbal rear link and be at 1650.

If i want to race gncc can you only have plus ones?

Since i have 1250 i can do it in stages getting the shocks and arms first the revalve and axle later. Im thinking of going with the plus 2s because i dont need lt for anything really if i think about it.

Or i could keep stock chassis parts and get elka front and rear shocks, maybe some a arms later, but i think im just going with a revalve and option 2 in my above post, wheres a good place to get a revalve and spring on the stock rear? thanks.

Also do i need braklines for the plus 2 a arms, and what are some good lines? thanks

Get better elkas then the dualrates if your going long travel. It would kind of defeat the purpose of long travel set up if you go short on the shocks.

im not going lt im just going to get regular plus 2 a arms since i dont relly need long travel for anything

Yea, that way you have enough for either better shocks or an axle.

yeah since i dont do to much pouding i will get a better axle the dualrates should do fine wheh i really get into alot of racing as i get older i will have a job and more cash flow for better parts. For a 14 year old kid i think the setp up im going to have is pretty damn good.
