i was looking into getting some ohlins front shocks from a cannibal for my 400. i have heard they will bolt right up. just wondering if this is true and if so will the valving be ok for a 400. thanks.
they wont fit, the top shock mount on the cannibals are much wider than the ex's, you can get a set of ex shocks on a dale, but not the other way around
do you have any good places to ride here in ct?

thanks for the info muff. most of the spots i ride in ct are private lands, that i have permission to ride on. but i know of a few spots that are good for riding. is n stone,ct (north stonington?) if so there is a pretty good place to ride in the norwich area,we ride to it from franklin so i don't really know where there is any parking. anyway feel free to email for some spots.jim

I thought all you had to do was change the bushing to run them on a 400ex?????
Anyone know where I cant get the right bushings???

i got the ohlins from a cannibal and installed them on my400ex about 2months ago. in order to get them to mount up i had to machine down the top aluminum spacer bushings, so they would fit in the top shock mount on my frame(stock frame). the bottom of the ohlins bolted right in. these ones don't have rezzys ,but they are far better than stock honda shocks, and don't make the clanking noise my friends works make. overall a good investment for my ride.
i like the clanking noise my works make...its kinda cool

yup you can just change the top bushing and they go right in, my buddy did it to his

Even tho you can make them fit, the valving and stroke is all wrong for a Honda!
