Hey guys

what company can i send my 400 engine to that has a package with either a

416
426
440 kit
with a cam and get it port n polished and stilll run pump gas.

I was thinkin CT cuz my friend got his engine done with that stuff and a 440 kit but iono if i wanna go that big yet.

Go with LRD. I got my stroker kit from Powroll, but I did all the work. If you want it done for you send it to LRD. They do good work.

Hey KiD many people have there favorites for who they send there engines off to get them built. Theres LRD like oregonrider mentioned, theres TCracing that Chadexer had his 505 built, Sparks Racing, CT racing, Mikky Dunlap and many others. Take a little time and figure out whats important to you like what type of riding are you planning on doing, MX, XC or drag? What kind of budget do you have? When you look at there site you'll see prices from 1,200 to over 3,000 to build your engine. How much time do you have to wait in line for them to build your engine? Times will varry from builder to builder. Worst case some engines take several months pending on builder. Positives and negatives for a builder....?
Sit down with a paper and right down what you expect your engine to do for you and what type of racing. Spend a little time researching and calling the builders up. Check out some racing web sites to see who won and who built there engines. Then there is other things like offering a warrenty on what they build. Dont go with the first guy tells you my engine everyones ***** in the races.... I know this does not tell you who to go with but it does give you info on what to look for. Hope it helps.:D

Well I am partial to Sparks... They are amazing...In my opinion they are the best. No one can compete..But that is just cause they did my engine and I haven;t found a quad with the same bore/stroke as mine that can run with me.(Around Here)

They have a long wait and are expensive. If ya got some hook ups with them(Possibly) Then go with them...

Yeah I would spend some time calling all the builders like, TC, Sparks, LRD, Duncan, CT, FST, FDO, and more. With most of them you will have a very long wait like TC, FST, and Sparks for sure. If I was going to send my Motor out, I would go with Duncan or FDO because they have a good turn around time, and FDO is making some of the best 400 motors out there...

ya i agree with sparks they make the most powerful engines. Pro fab atv has a good 416/426 kit for 750$ you might wanna check them out

well i do alot of jumping and trails and logging road occasionaly i will go to the dunes and so i was thinin like a 426 with a cam port n polish and a stroker kit sooo i will look around

and can you jsut a a stroker kit with out getting a bore kit?

Most engine builders are gonna want to bore and stroke..FDO seems to favor 440's and 463's Mickey Dunlap likes the big 500. Most builders have a system of mm stroke / Bore size they favor.

If you want to do a Stroker down the road, think about how big you want to go. If you get the 416 now, you can have it stroked later on to a 440. If you go with a 426 then you could have it stroked to a 465...

FDO seems to favor 440's and 463's
FDO favors 440 do to mx restrictions and the 463 for the woods it is the best woods motor I have ever riden. These two sizes of motors are both extremely reliable too. FDO also does great 493kits. for MX and DUNES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is going to do a toned down 500 for me for the woods soon(whether he knows it or not). They are also a great company to work with!
