The reason I have 3 400ex is because my dad and I are crazy. Actually it is because 1 is his, 1 is mine, and this one is both of ours. ITs a project we are doing, bringing it back to stock form, and then selling it. I got it for $5000 CDN, that was with the Elkas and all so I got a pretty good deal. So anyone interested in a fresh top to bottom cleaned up stock 99 400ex?

u should keep the one for parts, u never know what u could need, did u polish the swingarm or paint it?

I used a can of spray paint lol. It looks even better in person. It's called chrome spary paint. I got it from a local automotive store. No I can't afford having 3 here. I need to sell one, and it will be the stock one. It would be nice but who needs 3 400ex? I want to restore a 250r next.

I think it is 4700 is 2850 in American.

I used Tremclad Gloss Black, and then with a Clear Coat over top. I would have powder coated this. But I dont want to spend too much money. Shipping it down to Pappy would be too much $$$

um Bobby shipping is going to cost you a lot. It would be easier for you to come and pick it up. I live close to Toronto Ontario.

Yeah I didnt pick the colors, the guy before me did. Oh well, Next season I will refresh it. I still have to get my PEP steering dampner on and my Pro Pegs.

trust me that paint looks very good in the garage until you ride it for the first or second time... it wont be chrome anymore...

Good job on the project Nacs :D I cleaned my quad up pretty good :D I only painted the a-arms and a bit of the frame. I can afford to PC it this year, next year during the winter it will all be PC'd :D

yeah, I figured it will wear off fast. But its gunna look really nice to sell, Plus the person can always touch it up.

Sorry dude. I have been riding, doing big reports for school, and preping this quad. Cause I gotta sell the thing. Its off getting sandblasted. The paint was to crappy looking. Its gunna be done right now. Only the frame and subframe are going in. The guy is gunna put some gloss black on and then put it in the oven to bake it on reallllly good. He doesnt do PC'ing though. O Well.
I am gunna phone James instead of taking to much time and driving down. Theres not enough hours in a day lol. I love working on this quad though. I also like the new ELKAS!!! SO AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I hit some whoops yesterday, I couldnt even really feel them. But they will be even better if I get them revalved for my weight.
