Procircuit T-4 quiet core

Any Procircuit T-4 owners try the quiet core insert? I checked it out and $25.00 buys you a cone shaped stainless screen. Calling Procircuit tech line they said it lowers decible output by 2-3. I put the T-4 on my 250EX and it is scary loud, geez it must be a window shaker on a 400EX. Any success stories with quiet cores or smaller dia. end caps? Oh and please don't suggest buying the XXX brand 'cause I just got it and yes, may be riding a Fire Truck for awhile. BWAAAAAAAAA:D

I got a quiet core for my T4 on my 400, but hate it. It's basically a T4 spark screen with a large washer welded into the end. It sounds very bad and I have no power with it in. I just run it with the T4 spark screen and have grown to love the noise.

I had read a thread on here that they were comming out with a new quite core insert... Anyone seen the new design?

I talked with Procircuit they said the new quiet deal is a whole new silencer not an insert for current T-4's. They need to hit the magic 94db level a near future california track requirement.

The current T-4 is okay but my riding buds can't hear their shift points 'cause I'm blastin 'em.

I just got the t-4 factory sound silencer, and it's a lot quieter than the normal t-4. by the way, what jets are you guys running?

I live in western PA and ride at about 2000-3000 FASL and I run a 160 main. Stock pilot.

Could you discribe the insert, is it the screen with a washer welded on the end?

I have heard of a stainless baffle that is/was available for the T-4. How does it effect performance as in noticeable, low or top end changes?

Does your bike scare people when youu crank it up? ;)

I think the only difference between the two is the factory sound has a different packing to make it a little quieter. One of my buddies has the normal t4 and its louder, but not by much. Cops will still know you're out there somewhere.
