Is a jet kit worth the money or should I just adjust the stock stuff and pick up a few main jets?

i got a kit, it works fine if you get the filter and the kit but when i get my tc pipe for my b-day i will have to go get a pilot and a main get.

The kits are over priced. Plus they use some numbering system that doesn't corespond to any other jets so it makes it a little harder to compare notes. I've got the Dynojet kit and it works fine but my new Dennis Kirk catalog had Keihn jet sets
which are like stock only in 5 sizes for like 20$.
That is the way to go.:huh

I alway recommend the jet kit. And no it is not because it is more money. A jet kit just runs better than jets alone. I have spent alot of time jetting bikes and always find it easier and faster to use a jet kit. It is true that you will still need to up the pilot jet but that is easy. Maybe one of these days a jet kit will come with pilots
