East Coast Atv!! Complaints!!

here is a thread to voice your opinion about east coast atv im a little pissed with them right now !! i sent my swingarm in to get the thing powder coated silver vien and they have had the swingarm for 3 weeks now and i called them today and they told me they havent even gotten it back from the sand blaster yet and this is really starting to piss me off then to make me even more aggrevated they told me it was another 2 weeks before i would recieve it !! to bad i didnt know about pappy and his powder coating buisness before i shipped my swingarm out !!

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! EAST COAST IS SLOW !!!!

how much do you charge to do swingarms?? does your silvervien match everyone elses really well???

yep...i use morton's silvervein with clear coat.....and if its done right it should look the same no matter who does it:)

I'm working on a 350X and am thinking about powder coating some more stuff. How much to powder coat the swingarm, hubs, maybe the rear axle. Any input on a good metal polish and maybe something for the exhaust. It is all stock with low hours but sat for a while so needs a little TLC.

As soon as I seen this thread, first thing that came to mind was PAPPY. From what I've seen, he does an awesome job! Need to get some stuff done myself now.

man you should hear the tone in this guys voice when i told him i wanted to send it somewhere else to get it powdercoated they are charging me 50 for the sandblasting oh well !!

This sounds like East Coast is doing some hosing.

I'd also point them to this thread so they know the word gets around when you screw with people.

Pappy seems to be the "board coater", I'd bet he'll take good care of ya.

well i know where im getting all my stuff powdercoated from now on when i sent the arm in i was new to the board and had no idea that pappy did it but now that i have seen his work i know where exactley where im goin!!

Not to defend them cause I have seen several complaints about them on the different forums but remember guys its the time of year for things to be backed up some. Chances are they are hitting you with the 50 for shipping, blasting and anything else they lost on it. Still a chitty way of doing business.

i agree rage....they have done alright by me.

it sucks depending on outside sources for a portion of the work....if they had to send it out for prep etc. they still get a thumbs up from me:)

I called them about some used parts and they just wanted to get me off the phone after about 2 seconds - I got the same used parts from another place for much cheaper - I won't buy from them unless I really need a part and have no other choice. And there is someone from East Coast on here isn't there??

I agree on the used parts deal it seems like they claim to be the largest used parts people but they dont seem to want to sell any of thier used parts? if your not buying THIER stuff only they dont wanna deal with it ? this is just how it seems? im not trying to trash on East Coast its just the turn around time is beyond ridiculous!! i understand its that time of year and they have to get thier team bikes togethor but they pretty much put that as a priority?! im not a business man by no means but is it not the customers(US) that keep them in business? i dont know maybe im wasting my breath but im rather upset over the whole deal !!
