pinging issues with 416 piston???

Hey gang,

I've been chatting with another member here about his 416/426 kit he has installed. 10.5:1 comp. He told me he had real bad pinging and needed to run 50:50 mix of race and premium gas.

I live in So Cal and was wondering if anyone had a similiar experience. I'm not sure how I feel about needing race gas even in a small ratio.

Sounds like your buddy's running his bike a little lean. Mine did the same thing after I first put it together. A bigger main soved the problem. Mine runs just fine on 91 octane.

yeah make sure hes not running like 87 make sure its 93 or around that

91 is the highest you can buy here in Cali at the pump. 4 gal. of 91 and 1 gal of 110 makes 95 octane.

What size main you running RaptorAZ, is it a Keihin jet or a Dynojet kit?
