will a 14 t sprocket work with a stock chain, or do i need to add a couple of links

i know it will on a 400 i have oen but i dont knwoa obut a 300, how tight is your chain adjuster? If its pretty loose and theres lots or room to adjust it then you should be fine.

Yup, a 14 tooth will fit with the stock chain, so long as the adjustment isn' all the way out. I have one on my 300 and it was an easy install, about 10 minutes. Now that I did it, it only takes about 5. The hardest part is shaving down the case saver if you want to keep it on.

yes it fits, you just have to tighten it a lot.-darren

I tried to install it, but the chain was way to tight, i'll mess with it again tomorrow. Are there any tricks to the install

Okay, one more question, there is a brass u type piece, were u guys able to install the sprocket with that piece, or did u leave that piece off.

i think i kno what ur talkin about i did mine like 6 monthes ago but im prety sure i had to leave it off bc the holes didnt line up

just finished the install and i just wanna say wow, what an improvement, i love it and recomend it to anyone with a 300
