The grooved turfs are pretty nice for soft terrain. But, so aren't Razr MX's and Holeshot MX's. Just got take your pick of the litter.

the new holeshot MXR, i saw a set of these at my local engine shop, they did look different than the regualr MX tire, and they are a lot softer compound that the MX's, and like dirtwheels sais they hook up great even with 8 pounds of air but they wear so damn fast, they were 20% gone after 1 test ride:eek2:

Well I think the new holeshots are pry the best for racing say if you have a 12,000 dollar machine and you need the extra edge on the track and can see a niche for it. But man your pretty much gonna have to replace them after ever couple races. I spose it would be like one of those things where you'd pry just have a race set of tires and a play set of tires.

i have had holeshot mx's since the middle of last year

they still have the nipples on the outside of the tire, front and back, and they have about 90% tread left, but we ride in sand and dirt, never ever any road, i have a set of crappy 20's for road use

what about for the front?

holeshot mx front wear down alot faster than the backs, imo the fronts arent worth the investement, get grooved radial fronts theyll last a long long long time
