hey well i was riding the other day and i hit a jump got like 3-5 feet and i guess i wasnt paying attention and missed my peg :rolleyes: and and it landed in front of the peg and of course the peg ran into and broke my leg so i went to the hospital had two surguries and now i cant ride for 5 months, i knew i should have got nerfs

do you wear riding boots? start saving and get some nerfs for sure and some boots...i reccomend alpinstar...t8's if you are willing to put that much money forward. they are great boots and have saved my feet and legs several times. WAY stronger and more comfortable than any boot ive ever had or heard of....definatly nerfs though

i ve done that before and the nerfs saved me, especially hitting the big bumps in fields and almost flying over ur handle bars and coming down on the nerfs. but u gotta admit, crashing is kind fun when ya dont break stuff

i wish ya a speedy recovery man! and start working on a extended fork for itching cuz when ur surgery cuts start to heal and the scabs are ready to come off they will get itchier than heck

and axe® deoderant spray for the sweaty cast smell

where abouts did you break your leg?

did you get rods and screws put in?

i broke my leg playing soccer, snapped my tibia (front shin bone) in half and my fibula had hairline fractures, took 4 1/2 months

didnt have a cast tho cause i have a stainless steel rod and 4 screws that held it all together

Man sorry about the leg.
I was lucky when I broke my arm 2 years ago. I only had a cast for 1 week. Then the doc said it wasnt doing anything so I just used a sling. Made sleeping and taking showers a whole lot easier.

Like the old adage goes, You have a $50 head, buy a $50 dollar helmet. Applied here, your leg isn't worth $200 for nerfs? It sucks how we all have to learn the hard way sometimes. broke the tibula clean in two no nerver muscle artiery(sp) ir any kind of damage just the shin bone i hace 12 screwes and two plates in it my friend said i did a nothing but i was sure i didnt do a trick i dunno dont realy matter if the nerfs were there i woud be fine

hey i just talked to my dad and he said i broke both the tibia and fibula in two, the doc said it would heal pretty fast because im 15 )16 april 28) how old were you when this happen

My friend just got the cast off his broken leg, he was in a wheel chair.

But hey, he just got a quad.

I broke my leg around 2 years ago. Snapped the part where the tibia and fibula connect and also shattered a growth plate. I had like 4 pins in my leg. I was out of it for around 8 months, went through all the therapy, now I can't and never will be able to pull my leg all the way back in. :(

I haven't put nerfs on my 400ex because of an accident I had with them on my 250x. During a race I bumped into the back of another quad entering a turn a little hot. The impact caused my foot to slide off the peg and between the webbing as I rolled off of the quad, causing me to get drug down the track about 10 feet while getting tire burn on my back.
Maybe just my luck.:rolleyes:

PS Sorry to hear you got laid up for a while, but even if it takes 5 months you'll have some time left in the season to ride. And you have time to send out for motor work or custom shocks.:rolleyes:

I know a guy that took a spill on his 00' RM80. He broke his femur bone, got a LOT of screws in his leg, couldnt walk for 9 months, he cant ride anymore, he can walk tho...

I missed my pegs the other day but my foot didnt get caught instead both my feet missed and i landed hard and my back is still really hurting badly

I knew a guy like that. Was racing, rolin a double and someone landed on him. He had to sale his cr125 and he punctured a lung, broke some ribs, tore some ligaments(SP), messed up his liver and other stuff. Isnt supposed to ride for the rest of his life.
Thats was his first race in the 125 class too.

well iwhen it happen i was like this couldent be too bad , my friend came over and said what happen i said i dunno i started the kfx up and tryed to shift but my leg wouldnt work so i tole him to pull the boot of he did and it just dangled:eek: so he ran and got my dad and i help it up in a truck for 30 min to the hospital it hurt like madness
