ground off headpipe welds

what the hell r u guys doing to your head pipes and why? you have to forgive my ignorance Im from the south!:devil

honda welds the flange on the pipes on the inside, leaving a sloppy build up of excessive weld inside were exhaust flows. by grinding the weld smooth a 15% increase in flow is acheived.(every little bit helps) when doing mods!:cool:

thats what i was told. i dont know if 15% is accurate ,but there is no doubt a increase in flow. j/a . :devil

Kajun, it is worth it and you will feel the difference.:macho

I measured mine before and after. I ground out .090". (about 3/16") out to 1" diameter. 9% increase. Theoretically this translates out to quite a bit more when it comes to flow. (me heavy 'quipment mechanic :macho )
