i have a 91 250 x with a cobra pipe. it is so damn loud!i was looking at supertrapp with headpipe for $250. anyone use them or heard how loud compared to fmf or WB? any other reasonable pipe choices that are not screamers.

I recently got a IDS2 for my 300ex, It's a good deal for the price.
The nice thing is you can tune it for power/sound by adding or subtracting discs. I installed it with 6 discs and saw a nice increase in low-mid range over stock. It is definitely louder than stock, but compared to other pipes I don't know.

I would recommend it...

the white brothers e series are not too loud, but they have a nice throaty growl, and for a 250x, you have to get the e series pro meg, i got the complete system for aroun 400 dollars

I have an MBRP and it is only slightly louder than stock. It is much quieter than my big gun was, even with the quiet core. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quieter solution.

dont get a supercrapp, if you dont like noise get a biggun quiteseries or a fmf Q series.
