Your motor is still stock right?

How much of an improvement was the HMF w/ the quiet core over stock. Was it worth it? Loud?

I did start it just a quick sec to hear it. I'd say it's slightly louder than my stock Raptor was but quieter than my stock Cannondale. The tone definitely improved over the stocker. It sounds just like a bare HMF just not as loud (a deeper, throatier tone than stock). My cousin's bike and mine are modded exactly alike now in terms of go-fast stuff except I got the quiet-core so I'll line them up the next time I ride with him to see how much performance I lose. HMF claims you retain 95% of the power of their bare slip-on but we'll see. But, for volume, the quiet-core was well worth it for me.

Are you going to start a new post to find out how to jet that thing?:eek2: I think you should.

But for real. Let me know what you think of it with the q-core. I don't really like the real loud pipes and I like the HMF.

Actually, I got the jets here now but my project this evening is wiring the 220 to that big air compressor in the background of the last pic I took. I snuck home and did the simple bolt-on stuff. The jetting will get done tomorrow morning.

I'll give my race results of the q-core vs. non q-core when I race my cousin. Either way, the insert is worth it to me to save on the noise.

What's the deal with the brick garage? Do you live in tornado alley or something? No one by us has a garage like that. I don't even have a garage at my house. I'll never make that mistake again.

Guy the HMF pipe is nice for power. I'm running mine without the quiet core. A bit loud, but that's fine. Had to run the air/fuel mixture a little different for the altitude I'm at here and I run without the airbox lid, big difference this past weekend without it on.

That's sort of a funny story. I bought this house from an old couple who built this themselves in 1950. They didn't use any wood stud walls on the outside of the house. They used that block from the basement all the way to the attic. On the outside of that cement block is brick. I guess they were worried about high winds or something. It makes hanging pictures a real b!tch but if the house would burn down all we'd have to do is put a new roof on it and move back in....lmao:D

To whoever asked, those bars are CR double hi's. I had regular CR hi bends on the Dale. I really didn't notice a big difference between the two.

TRXMaddness, my cousin uses the regular HMF slip-on and the power low-to-mid is great. There's a little power gain on the top end but nothing like the gains on the first 2/3's of the powerband.

Dusty, you trying to get me divorced? BTW, do you sell AC bumpers and TCS shocks?? lol:devil

Guy that's where I notice my power difference. bottom to mid and then just a little on the top power band. Enjoy the pipe you will like it.

Well the nerfs are on and the jetting is done!

Doibugu2, you were asking about the performance with the quiet core. I took it out today and it runs awesome. The butt-o-meter puts it very close to my cousin's EX with no insert. However, when we actually line them up the story could be completely different. With that said, even if I am slower it's only by 1/2 bike or so. Close enough that it makes the quieter noise levels more than worth it for me.

Well, I guess that will probably be my next purchase. That and some skid plates. Tell you what though, I put my elka's on and finally got to ride them last week. Whew, what a difference over stock. I didn't believe everyone buy they are well worth it.

Guy it looks awesome. Looks like you need a new clutch lever/perch and a block off to get rid of that parking crap. I think Razr fronts, a Bumper, and Shocks would get you really going, and looking good... Oh and another mod I just did I highly suggest, Braided Brake Lines...
