hes got a 250x, its the same as a 300ex. anyways any aftermarket shocks you buy will be set up for your weight so you should be fine with any shock company.

i dont know why alot of people think a 250x is a 250ex, well first i will explain to everyone the differences. the 250x is chain driven the 250ex is shaft, the 250ex is semi auto, the 250x is manuel, the 250x has kick start the 250ex doesnt, the engines are different, the plastic is different the frame is different. hmm... come to think about it not to many things will fit onto the 250ex from the 250x.

I would suggest Elka. I weigh about 240 and they were to stiff for me, Im sure they would handle your weight. (they sent me softer main springs so I'm happy) C&D has them starting at $525

i have too but hey i've seen other brands do the same. besides if they hold up to the kinda stuff i do (i have triples with remotes) they will probably hold up for this guy!
