new cam and piston?!?!?

I am looking to buy a new aftermarket cam and high compression piston for my 400ex. i Know i dont want a hotcam........to many people have them and i have heard bad things.i was thinking of getting web cam with a ross high compression piston?!?! what do you think of that combo?!?! i Ondt wanna put money into hardface rockers and valve springs and stuff......just a descent cheap drop in cam and piston would do good for me..... oh ya and i do alot of trail riding and hill climbing.....................

any cam with a high comp piston will do wonders.

just a pick a "drop in" cam and you will not need new rockers as long as yours are in good condition

I'm going with the Sparks Aggressive cam more than likely. Only thing is it's 375:eek2: Also going with a JE416 piston 10.5/1.

ya i am leaing towards a ross 10.5 or 10.6 to 1 cant rememeb the compression ratio exactly. and i was thinking about getting a sparks but they are expensive......maybe i will lean towards the white bro's drop in cam

Search "Hotcam". Long thread on unhappy customers. Is this why they are on back order?

As far as i know the Hotcams have been fixed and I would still recomend them. You can easily check to see if you get a bad one anywase and you can send it back for a new one if it isn't any good.

If you trail ride and climb hills and are not after a real aggressive cam you might want to get a xr400 cam (The cam in the XR honda motorcyle) or for a little more pop the HRC honda cam. (The hop up cam for the xr 400 motorcyle.) I am putting in a HRC with a JE 10.8-1 piston.
