What's up?
I put 21" x 7 tires on the front of my 400ex only because the dealer was out of the 22's at the time i needed these tires.
It seems to have affected my handling by makeing the front end feel like it's diving and rolling into turns. With the 20"x11x9's on the back i figured the front was riding about .5" lower than it should since it is suppost to have 22's on the front, so I lowered the rear of my quad by .5" by adjusting the preload on the rear shock until it was .5" lower than stock height.

I GUESS MY QUESTION IS... BY ADJUSTING THE PRELOAD, WILL THIS AFFECT THE STIFFNESS OR REBOUND OF THE SHOCK OR DOES IT JUST RAISE OR LOWER THE RIDE HEGHT ??????

THANKS FOR ANY INPUT
MIKE

If you lowered the rear, the ride will be slightly softer. Youc an probably compensate for that by adjusting the compression.

Ajust your compression up. Your 22's where absorbing you diving into corner. Clock wise will make the compress harder.
