IM not sure what subject to put this under so i decided to put it in here. How fast does a stock 250ex go? and how fast do u think Mine would go by looking at my mods? thanx. i was looking up the top speed of a 250ex and they said it went like 53.4 or somthing.

50-53 or so is about right, with your mods you won't pick up any top speed since you can't change the gearing, unless you got a different CDI with a new rev limiter. The mods you have will only effect how fast you get there.

01TRX300EX is on target. I think I read that ATV Action radar a 250ex at 51.5 and I think Dirt Wheels radared on at 51 on the button.

Measuring next to your dad's truck doesn't work, vehicles are off to begin with and then if you add bigger or smaller tires, it gets even further off. And again, a kit will make you get to speed faster, but not a faster top speed.

Does anyone make +2 Arms for the 250ex?

I have been looking for extended a-arms and other ways to make my 250ex less tippy... I just recently found out that if you buy front wheel spacers say.... like 2" on each side that will give you plus four and then you can flip flop your front rims and it will give you plus 5" and you will end up with plus nine :D the only thing is if you dont want this much extention you cant just flip flop the tires because the valve stem gets in the way of the brakes so you either need to put in a shorter valve stem or put on wheelspacers to move the stem away from the brakes.... and about the a-arms... i am talking to a guy about them right now to see if the 300ex ones will fit the 250ex... but They are soooooooo much more expensive.... i would just go with the wheel spacers and flip floping the tires.... u get like 3 times the performance for a 1/10 of the cost of a-arms

i wouldnt jump if u have spacers and flipped rims they would snap your spindles rite off... and your bump steer would be out of control one or the other... and u still cant go crazy

It you just want to gain top speed, put bigger tires on it. They are harder to turn but you will gain top speed.

Four Stroke Tech has a kit for the 250ex as well. They took down their web site and the kit wasn't on it before they took it down but I e-mailed them an Mickey said the only reason the kit wasn't on the site was because he didn't sell a lot of them.

Some place on this forum or one of the others but I think it was this one someone said there is one race shop that makes a-arms for the 250ex.

Durablue also makes an extended axle and a couple of guys have them. I think increasing the handling abilities as well as suspension would allow you to ride it faster over terain and in corners. I think I high top speed is a tough goal for the 250ex.

I don't know if anyone makes a higher rev limiter for it but I know going with bigger tires will give you more top speed but you wont get there as fast.

following a car or truck doesn't work that's for sure every time I've done it or someone else has done it there always seems to be a high mph number. Way to many variables to claim any kind of accuracy.
