On my 300ex, everytime i get to a certain rmp in each gear it just bogs down. Its like its not getting enough gas or something.

cheak plug go ahead and put in a new one then cheak the air filter also try putting a glass jar under the drain hose and there is a screwat the bottom side of carb losen it up and drain some gas in the jar or cup to see if there is any water in your gas the water will sink to the bottom.see if this helps

i recently put a high compression piston in, but its running fine, other than that.

sounds as if you may need to go up with your main jet due to the higher compression piston

i when up one size on the main jet, and it got a little better, but it still does it. Should i go up another one. it also sounds different, does a high compression piston do that.

It could very well sound different. More compression could makemore noise or something. I say play with your jetting some more and you'll get it. don't forget to adjust your air fuel mixture too when playing with your main jets to get it right.

It will definately sound different with a high compression piston. Keep trying with the jetting, You certainly don't want to run it lean!

i will go up some more with my jetting and see if that helps. Does anyone know the right jets for the high compression.
thanks

there are no "right jets" no two bikes are exactly the same in jetting even if they are identical word for word the same.
