just wondering what sleave is best 4 a 440 engine and what is the bigest piston that will fit in the hole safely

LA Sleeve and Advanced Sleeve both make good 440 sleeves.

89.5mm is the largest I would go without boring the cases. 89mm is safter though.

Advanced Sleeve is priced better. Check thier website

IMO, Mickey Dunlap has the best 440 sleeve. It's thicker than the others. It does require some mechanical skills to install however.
