Help with snorkel tube?

I bought a used 07 400ex and it was in pieces. I rebuilt the top end and it runs. yay me.

The problem is that the snorkel tube is about 2 inches too short. On the backside, it is held to the air box with a hose clamp, on the front it has a bolt hole that I assume goes on the bolt on the top of the frame. But it doesn't reach.

Is there a bracket missing or has my snorkel shrunk in length?

Any pictures would help. The diagram at bikebandit doesn't show a bracket there.

It looked like the snorkel tube bolted to the frame. I found the fuel tank insulator and it bolts to the frame and then the snorkel tube plastic rivets to the insulator.

Hope that ends up helping someone else later on.
