Here's what just came out of the old '11 700 Grizz...

The pics indicate some kind of build up on 3 surfaces...the base ring, and on both the electrode and ceramic opposite where the strap attaches. What condition does this suggest?

Also, this article...

indicates since there's no color change in the middle of the ground strap that there's some type of temp problem. Any ideas?

Thanks

the condition suggests that they are old LOL

the top one looks good enough to me, id just change them and monitor what a new one looks like for a while.

you could be getting some oil leaking in there and burning off, thus the particles.

why are they coated in oil on the threads anyway? i would be more concerned about why theres that much fluid build up around the spark plug hole(s).

unfortunately, ive never worked on yamis nor do i want to LOL the other unfortunate part, im the only one that keeps responding to your threads in the open section. I would bet the yami section has been dead for a long time but it may be worth doing some searches on here to see what you can find.
