Have a 2011 Grizz 700 and for the diff oil the manual calls for SAE 80 API GL-4 hypoid gear oil. I'll be using Mobil 1 synthetic but as it comes in two different weights I'm not sure which one to get....either the 75W-90 or the 75W-140.

The 75W-90 is listed as GL-5 and is recommended for use in 'high-performance vehicles like SUVs, vans and light duty trucks.' The 75W-140 weight is also GL-5 and is recommended for 'high-performance vehicles including sport utility vehicles, vans and light-duty trucks.'

Are you getting some good deals on mobil 1 or what? i dont think id run a 140 weight oil in my atv but that is up to you.

75w-90 would get my vote.

Thanks steve yeah got that download, big help. Since I don't really ride that much I took someone's advice about using syn in the diffs. But just now I'm being told that leaky seals on an older machine as well as water contam can be a problem using syn so I'll prob just end up going with something cheaper now.

Have you heard about synthetics having a problem with water contam in diffs? Is this a significant problem?

If you have a leak in your engine I have heard that syn will probably leak more.

youll be fine, if they arent milky when you drain them, they arent leaking.
