yeah i just made a shockmount out of half inch steel. and i was wondering what you guys think of how strong this will be? ill get pics tommrow.

1/2 inch..thats overkill...anyways ur signature says u have a hotcam..i was unaware they made one for a 300ex....where did u order it from?

Well considering that the stock shock mount is 1/8" thick, that would be a huge overkill. 3/16"-1/4" is more than enough. I would also like to know where you got a hotcam for a 300ex.....:huh :huh This is kinda like the kid who said he had a Roll Frame for his 300ex.....:confused:

just call hot cam and they will make you one! but i takes like 4 weeks. the guy said they will have them on the market in mid summer so i would jus wait.

any way so what you guys are saying is that the half inch steel will be very strong...... i shouldnt have any worrys!!

No it wouldn't be strong enough try 3/4 or 1 inch thick. that should do it.:ermm:

yeah i was going to put 1/2" steel shock mounts on my custom frame made out of oil feild pipe.

man. I was messin with you. 1/4 inch would be overkill imo. 1/4 is some heavy mofo-ing stuff. if you were to go 1/4 i would drill some holes in there to lighten it up

Coming from Olney I'd have thought you'd know to use something a little heavier than 1/2". Was your frame the one with the custom long travel shocks yanked off of a Honda Civic? I thought I mighta seen it when I lived in Vincennes.

yeah i use the shocks off the civic for woods riding but now im using the airbags to just say that i have them on there! lol

I can keep up now. At first I was really discouraged with the lil' 90, but I've done some really custom mods, and I'm runnin' a 50/40/10 mix of 93 octane/everclear/ether. Guys follerin' me don't much like the smell of my exhaust.
