My buddy wants to sell me a big gun pipe off his 650 praire. Now would it be bad for my quad in any way if i put it on my quad? And wut would it take to pull this off?

Chances are that after you get it rigged up, it'll either fall of every ride, or it will hit something when you jump or corner. It's not worth the money saved by buying it. It's true that a lot of exhaust will flwo through, but its not tuned for a 300ex. You might loose power even. Just buy a pipe for your quad.

SOme people...

I'd say jimmy riggin the silencer on could be done. but a headpipe is a no way deal!. I put a chopped yz426 silencer on my practice 400ex and its works like a beauty. But it took some fabricateing and also I didn't really care about the fit and finish because its only a practice bike. But it turned out really good.

I also agree, just buy the right parts. You probably wouldn't be happy with it, and a large-cored muffler will flow too much for your 300.
Either buy a Prairie 650 to put it on, or buy a pipe made for a 300EX; your choice, but the latter might cost less. ;)
