ok I need some assistance here if possible guys on my 2005 sportsman 500. went out to use my machine a couple days ago and no battery. also no warnings or prior issues. so I thought ok its still the original battery so I will replace it as its overdue anyway. so when after charging the battery and installing it the fan stays on. does that sound like an ecm or switch issue or neither? maybe fan clutch, stator? I just went ahead and ordered a new switch because a buddy said thats what it was but I just haven't had to work on it much at all outside of general maintenance stuff. it seems logical I guess that if the switch goes then the fan can turn on and run the battery down. but I figure why not ask the people that are in the know on this make & model year. thanks in advance.
