help me pick a tire to try out!

right now ive got maxxis razr XC rear tires and they are a good tire, but mine are pretty worn and have several plugs in both sides. Ive been google'n tires for days trying to decide on a set of rear tires to try out. I want to try a different tire that ive never used before. Here is what I have tried out:

razr XC (current tire)
holeshot gncc
regular maxxis razr
gbc xrex

Some of the tires ive really been looking at are the itp quadcross xc, dwt xc tires, vee rubber, and traditional holeshot tires. I dont know if I want to try a big heavier aggressive tread pattern tire or go for a lighter weight tire with a little less bite so I can slide around easier. im gonna be racing a local series here in kentucky, called bluegrass xc, racing for points, gonna try out wither B or A class.

all opinions are welcome! any woods racers post some pics and reviews of your tires your running!

I would usually run X-rexs myself since they are cheap and I would trail ride. But if price is no problem, I would go holeshot XCR

I have run ITP HDs, they are a heavy tire but tough as nails. Not the best sliding tire when they are new but not bad either. I also had great luck with Kenda Klaw XCs, slide great, great mud traction and tough. You can't go wrong with either of them.

a couple of buddies that I race with run the CST Pulse tires. they are way more aggressive than the pics of them online show them to be. the knobs are really tall and theres quite a bit of spacing between the rows. it looks like they would be really hard to make slide buy they say that they do good.

And today I looked at some GBC race rex tires at a local bike shop. they have a different shape then the Xc master. they look really wide and "short" for a 20-11x9 tire. and the sidewall has a really round shape with a pretty stiff sidewall.

razr xc is hands down the best ive ever ran. if I wasn't running them now I would try the vee rubber myself.

I myself love the Razrs also have had a few sets of the 2's and MX's but I just bought a new set of Goldspeed wheels and tires for my 450. So far so good with two Hare Scramble races and about 3 other rides on them. Price was about $300 less than ITP baja wheels with Razr 2 tires from Rocky Mountain also...

I decided to try out these dwt xc v1 tires. I ordered them off rocky mountain atv. they look to have a tread pattern and spacing similar to the maxxis razr, but with different shaped knobs. I havent test rode them yet, but Id say they will work good on my 400. Im also gonna groove the tread blocks later on at some point. heres some pics compared to my worn out maxxis razr xc's.

I ended up grooving the tread blocks out and it helped the traction a whole lot. these tires seem to handle great and slide really well. but the straight line traction is not as good as other tires ive tried. I also ended up buying the matching dwt front tires here recently, have not tried them out yet though. also painted my beadlocks. this past weekend too.
