View Full Version : engine dies at high speed
After trail riding all day I did a couple top speed runs in my 2002 400ex, and both times when I pulled in the clutch and let off the gas the engine died. Why? It ran great all day.

Anyone?
Not sure why your doing this, or the exact reason why it does it but I would think bringing up your idle would stop it. When ever I race I always raise the idle up to help stop the engine from dying when I brake hard, and pull the clutch in to down gear for a corner…... Most likely the sudden chop stops enough airflow the idle can't keep up….or some logic like that.
