stroked 400ex locking up at TDC

I'm wondering what is a good piston and gasket to use for my 2001 400ex. my problem is that since it has a 4mm stroker crank the piston hits the gasket and the motor locks up at TDC. i was wondering if there is a special piston with the wrist pin closer to the rings to make it shorter, has to me a 89mm piston as well

Most stroker kits come with a special piston, find who the maker of the stroker kit is and buy that piston for it. Its not hitting the gasket its hitting the top of the head because a regular piston is taller.

I'm guessing you have the Hot Rods stroker crank.. You will need to get this piston for it
