Dura Blue axles are just as good as all the other axles on the market.

Better than stock? Sure. As good as lets say a RPM? I don't think so.

Durablow

Durabreak

Take your pic. Go Rpm. But as for your question go shocks. But when you do buy an axle get a lsr if money is an isue an rpm is the altimate but will cost a lil more. Durablue...... they are good only if you never leave the ground....I've snaped there best axle on a jump no bigger then 6 feet!. I will never buy another one.

You said you weigh 120lbs. and the shocks are set up for 150-195 lbs. They lickley will be very stiff. For the price you have listed 331.39 you can buy a brand new pair of works tripples without rezies made for your weight and type of riding for that price. ;) Much better way to go.
Call C&D racing they will set you up. Tallking with colby or dusty.

I should have mine from C&D by the end of the week. :D

i went from a stock axle to a lonestar!!!!
burablue sucks, my best friend broke 2 of them in a week, then finally noticed that they suck, and went with the rpm!!!

I would highly recommend aftermarket shocks over an aftermarket axle, unless you have a bent axle.

From years of my abuse, and from some of us Exriders.com riders, RPM Dominator axle is worth looking into.:macho

As for getting used shocks that are not setup to your body weight, that is a hard question to answer. Some riders may find that the setup works great for them, while others may need to have them rebuilt to their body weight, which may be an additional cost. Obviously, if you can afford to get a set of new aftermarket shocks made to your body weight, that would be the way to go... Especially if there is not much of a price difference!:)

Good luck!

my rear axle is slightly bent on the right side. its a stocker. my question is, can i buy a new axle that is +4 for the a-arms i will eventually get. i head of adjustable ones. do lonestar and RPM make adjustables?

I know that the RPM axles are adjustable, and I would think Lonestar axles would be too. I am not sure what the minimum width would be, whether it would be stock width when adjusted to minimum width, if you purchased a plus 4" axle.

On the 400, LoneStar is adjustable to be +1 1/2 or +3 1/2;) It has a spacer that goes on one side of the hub or the other.

I haven't done either one "yet" but i'll be getting shocks first:)
Like what others said, you should be able to get NEW Works shocks set up for you weight and riding style for just over $300. Don't waste your money on used shocks that aren't set up for you.
