We are planning our Bi annual Hatfield McCoy trip for Thursday 4/30/15 - Monday 5/4/15 @ Indian Ridge.
This post is for info sharing for Mark, Lonnie & Pete but others are welcome to join us if you like.
It looks like Pete and his wife will be getting a cabin for some privacy so we will probably take the motorhome with gas prices being so low right now. Below is a link for rates @ Ashland Resort. I don't think we will have enough confirmed in time to get one of the houses and really it's less money going for a cabin or site. Either way I think we should all stay at the same facility or very close by. We don't want to spend 1/2 the morning getting the group rounded up.

Lonnie I know you love your trailer but check out the numbers it's not that much more for a basic cabin. I know we would all prefer to have a private bath but honestly these bath houses are really nice and clean. They even have a TV on with the weather channel on. Lonnie if you do go and don't feel the need to bring your trailer you can borrow our 2 quad (or single quad) trailer to lighten your load and fuel bill round trip.

If Mark goes and brings a friend they could ride on their own or possibly drive the hour south and share fuel costs with Lonnie? same goes with the cabin. They have a queen or a double and two bunk beds so that's 3 beds and the 4th can hit the top bunk, bring an air mattress or spoon with John in the double bed. ;)

We have 2-5 other possibles going but we will see how that plays out. If they don't come 2 of you are welcome to put your feet up and cruise down in the motor home with me and Wayne.

We can split up on the trails with Pete leading (since he knows his way around) the faster riders and we can meet up at designated spots. This way you don't have to ride slow for us older guys that need to pace ourselves for 3 days of riding.

I also linked you guys to two videos I just uploaded to YouTube from our May 2013 trip. I mainly did this to get Mark all moist so he tries to make it. This place is great with connectors to Pinnacle Creek and Pocahontas giving us a different trail system to ride each day. The roads are even fun to ride as most are more suitable for ATV's then autos. No hassles we didnt even see one police car the whole trip and even so the locals use ATV's as a means of transport down there.

Well as you can see I'm pretty pumped, we need to get the ball rolling and start making some deposits because this particular area doesn't have a lot of lodging options and sites/cabins fill up quickly. Feel free to post here questions or to let us know if you made a reservation. They are fully refundable with ample notice. I really hope you all make it this is a true life experience and you won't want to ride anywhere else after going here.

Ok it's official we are taking the motor home. My brother in law and nephew just confirmed. If my nephew isn't don't school my sister is going. I'm calling in my reservation Monday.

Pete and Lonnie I would strongly suggest you get a cabin reserved now. You don't have to put much down and it's fully refundable up until 2 weeks prior to your stay with a small processing charge.

Ok we have 10 confirmed and 2-3 more possibles. It was only $20 more per person for a 2 room cabin so we upgraded from our camp site to a cabin. Lonnie and John made their reservation he is right behind us and Pete is right next to us.

I just got new helmet for the trip:

Now all I need is the 450 carb mounted and I'm all set

Planning a tune up ride Sunday 4/19/15 @ AOAA.
