wilderness camping near South Carolina

I live near Augusta Ga and I want to know if there is any to ride my ATV that will let you camp along the trails.
The only place I have found is in the mid west states. If any one knows of anywhere closer pleas let me know.

I have been to that site. All I can find are places that make you camp in campgrounds
at the staging areas. I want to be able to camp out on the trails away from everything.
I was told that Brown Mountain OHV area will let you, but the web site shows camping
only at regular campgrounds.
