What would you do?

I'm in a really tight spot right now. I have a 92 Dakota that needs some work but I have a friend who said he'd bring it to the local car auction and sell it for me. My brother is letting me barrow his S-10 for the time being until the Dakota is fixed. I sold my 400ex last Fall and I really miss riding/racing. My parents said I can't take out another loan because I owe $1500 on the Dakota still. But if I sold the Dakota I could use the money to buy an R and take over the lease on the S-10($350 a month) for another year and 1/2. But if I keep it I have to come up with money to have it fixed and then pay my sister the $1500 I owe her and not get another quad. I'm pretty stuck,I love the truck b/c it's completely custom with over 300Hp, but I'm not sure if I want to pay to have it fixed...

Which engine do you have, I have a '92 Dakota also and would like to know what it has to have over 300hp. Mine feels really slow now that we got the Duramax, I have the 3.9L V6 by the way.

Yup I got a 3.9 5-speed. It's prolly got about $12,000 into the motor alone. I'm bring the Dak to the auction on Thursday. Then I think I'm gonna give the S-10 back and buy an older Z71 and then take out a loan for a $6000 250R. $6000 should be enough to get myself a nice race quad for this season at Dist. 34. I'm probably going to get a season pass at eagle bridge mx.

i wouldnt sacrifice my r over a truck .. id rather ride the R and s-10 100%
