This isn't a Yamaha bashing thread, simply a report on what happened today. I live on a corner lot and the one road is roughly 1/4 mile or so long and is a dead-end where the entrance to our trails is. I was working in the backyard when I heard this knocking sound which I thought was my friends diesel full-size Chevy truck. When I turned to look I see a black/red Blaster sitting there idling. He starts to go around the corner to pass my house apparently trying to limp this thing home and the knocking from the bottom end of the motor was terrible. It's pure speculation but I'm guessing the oil injection failed and a bearing went. Whether or not the oil injection system was working a bearing clearly expired. This thing sounded just like a diesel truck and he continued to ride it home. All I know is this kid's dad is going to have his ***** when he pulls in the driveway with this quad sounding like that:D

Damn. They are tough though. I had a piston skirt break and went through the bottom of both cases and still rode it fo 3 days before it finally quit.
