I hear they are awesome for mx but they suck when the track gets muddy.

Is there actually a "good" tire for when its muddy on a Mx track??? ive had couple different styles of fronts and they all seem to suck when its muddy on the track, since someplaces are deep sticky mud, some are deep soupy mud and of couse ya have the slick as glass corners. i try to ride usling the snow turning style, slap the breaks and pitch it! :D :blah

YEA the radials do last a very long time because they are car tires and are made for pavement so hard pack dirt is not gonna wear em out too quick

What do you use to groove those radials like that? Ive seen them in pics a million times but could never figure out how it was done.

you use a tire groover or hot knife it is a tool that has an electricly heated cutting blade on it they are usualy 75 bucks .the groover peels the rubber off .it is not hard to do however i am having a hell of a time finding a decent picture of a grooved tire so i can copy the pattern on my tires
