Does anybody know if the crankshaft assembly is the same for all year model 400ex's? I already did some searching but couldn't really find any info,

According to the part numbers they are, and that's usually a good estimate since Honda seems to change the part number for anything if they change it even the slightest. Check for yourself,

hmmm, I didn't even think of checking it like that :uhoh: Thanks. I figured the reverse models might have a slightly different design or something. I found that out years ago when I bought a starter motor that wouldn't bolt up lol

Yea, I always check part numbers now before I assume anything. I remember I was going to get a small piece for my carb. awhile back and saw one on ebay that was from a different year, but decided to check the numbers anyway, and they were different. I don't see how they could have changed it any but it said it was different so I kept looking and bought one for my year. Better safe then sorry.
