So I finally got working on my rebuild, details below.

Kibblewhite Black Diamond Intake and Exhaust Valves 1mm Over
Hot Cams Stage 2
Wiseco 11:1 416 piston (87mm)
Install GT Thunder 400EX Heavy Duty Head studs
Port and Polish
3 or 5 Angle Valve Job - not sure yet
Full White Brothers exhaust

I'm thinking that when I get everything back together I should start around the following but then again, I have no idea...
170 Keihin jet
3rd clip down on the needle
2 3/4 turn out on the a/f screw mixture.

Any suggestions? I'm roughly at 1,100 ft elevation. Also, if it matters I plan on running one step colder plug (dpr9z) and straight race gas (108).

Try the jet and see...open air box.....? I got roughly the same set up as you and run a 185 main with open air box. 108 race gas is way over kill. I use to run 100 octane AV fuel. At most I would recommend mixing 50/50 with 93 octane to give you about 100 octane, which is still more than you need, but will burn clean.

full lid on the airbox. I have ~10 gallons of 108 so I was just going to use that.

Is it already bored to 407? If not dont go up in bore size unless you have to 407 11:1 will perform the same way.

170 and 42 pilot should be close. Also an 04-05 450r carb would be worth it as well.
