2003 cr 85 motor in our flat track quad doesnt want to start "via kick starting"once it has been run hard. Will fire right up when bump started. Example Went to open practice at a local short track . Only a handful of riders so we would get about 10-15 minutes between practices. Started right up cold and then as well after one or 2 sessions. After that I thought we had flooded it so we pushed started it . Fired right up. After that session I started it myself and still wouldn't fire . Tried no throttle , a little throttle , choke on , choke off.
Motor is stoke bore and stroke with a little cylinder porting . Only has a couple races on it.

I can check compression tonight. Dont really think that's the issue since it bump starts so easy and runs and idles fine. We actually took 6 tenths off our best lap times later in the evening. And ran consistent 13.8 laps on a 1/5 mile track . Thanks for the input.

Got it figured out. Changed Stator and fires up Bette cold and hot. Do check compression and had 180psi on 3 kicks so Im pretty confident it isn't a compression issue. Thanks for the input.
