Considering selling my trusty R. Too many toys, trying to consolidate and I hardly find time to ride it anymore. Looking for opinions on what would be a fair asking price for it since I pretty much fell off the atv map and don't know where to start... Sad to see it go but I'd rather someone else have it and enjoy it instead of sitting in the shed :(
Can anyone help me out?

2004 450R
1st gen Fox Float Evols
Lonestar...

+2 LT a-arms

steering stem (+1 maybe? not sure anymore)

+4 axle
Stock rear shock re-valved and re-sprung with dual rate by C&D racing
BARE gusset kit
Curtis Sparks full system
Ported head
K&N filter
Quad Tech seat cover
AC...

Stadium bumper

grab bar

nerf bars
Renthal handlebars
Maier hood
Full belly skid plate (forgot brand, it's thicker aluminum)
2 sets of wheels...

Mx setup on oem front rims, douglas red label beadlock rears

Woods setup on DS450 rims

Also a set of ITP front rims with worn tires and paddle tires not mounted on rims
Powder coated frame and lots of other bits and pieces
Good running quad, has always been reliable for me and well maintained but it's of course an '04 so parts have worn out and been replaced as needed.
The right side rear fender has a large crack in it from hooking my boot on the bottom of it. Still holding together but somewhat unsightly.
I may be forgetting a couple bits but that's the gist of it.

Is the atv market still crap? I've haven't looked into selling/buying an quad since 2008 probably.

Some pics for reference...

This pic doesn't have the updated rear shock.

My best friend just sold the same exact setup with a couple higher end parts (Elka LT rear and hipers) for $3800 and that took some time.

In my area that bike would go for $4500-$4200

Possibly 4k at the highest, lowest 2500. Friend had a fully modded 09 450 with tons of engine work but nothing else really. He GAVE it away for 3000 cause he needed the cash but he had little interest really. Seems stock machines sell much easier. Could strip the parts off and sell too, would make more of your money back.

If you let that bike go for $2500 the buyer will get the deal of the century

It is not a sellers market at all. I think alot of the problem with my buddies is that it ran on 100 octane, once people see that it scares them away.

Course people are idiots too, I had a fully decked out and very clean 400ex that was highly modified. I had idiots emailing me "I have 500 bucks I can be there tonight, lemme know" I revised the add to even say something like "dont bother lowballing me, aint gonna happen" and yet still they did it.

People want stock machines, they dont trust its been modified unless you find the right buyer. IE friend sold a fully redone yz125 totally stock just redone motor and got 1200. His 400ex he had issues selling cause it was modified. He waited awhile, deleted the add and put stock wit just thisor that in the add and sold it for asking price. Buyer had no idea they got a 10:1 and hotcam in there.
