Bought an LT80 super cheap. Problem is, it has been sitting in a garage for the past few years. I am going to put a new battery on it. I have cleaned the gas tank but my first question is about the valve under the gas tank that controls the fuel. I removed the fuel line, put about a gallon if gas in the tank and was expecting it to start running out the bottom when I had the gas turned on. But it doesn't. Could it be stopped up?
It's a vacuum operated petcock.
In the on position, no gas should run out till the motor spins and creates vacuum.
In the prime position it will run gas out.
You'll need to clean the carb.

Mine does not flow in the prime position. Is there a way I need to clean it?
You can try blowing back thru it.
If that don't do it, Look below this thread about the blaster petcock. Might as well save some time and trouble.
