TRX 90 oil check question

I have a 97' TRX 90 and im wondering if you suppose to let it sit before checking it or what? Like should I let it sit overnight and check it for accurate reading? Also, do I screw in the dipstick or not for checking?

Just let it sit for a couple minutes, its more important that you're on a level surface. Pull the dip stick out and wipe it clean, screw it all the way in, then unscrew it and check the level.
