Found this on Google images browsing for Banshee pics, and it looks pretty legit. I can see the pipe and everything, it's definitely a 2 stroke. Probably too good to be true, or probably going to be a non-US model. But, it would be frickin' AWESOME if we saw the return of a 2 stroke quad again! Bring back the 250R as well!

I haven't seen anything yet like this. But it's still got that banshee look.....UGLY. But it would be cool to see it back again.

That looks like its from a Maier advertisement. Maier offered raptor style plastic for the old shee. And it has a Maier sticker on thr front bumper. Just wishful thinking haha

Yep that's just the maier custom plastic. I hope they don't come back out with it, that would just feed the douchebags on banshee hq more

If they could put the damn motor into something that actually handled worth a damn then it might be worth it.

Agreed. If you cant have some fun on a banshee with at least an exhaust you either have no sense of adventure or just cant ride haha. I had one back when I was about 16 and done nothing but trail rode. Had a mildly built motor and all stock suspension. Did it beat me to death?? Ohhh yeah. Was it fun???? A Blast.!!!! It would climb anything. 2nd gear, launch it like a mx holeshot to get your wheel speed up and hold on. I would love to stumble across a 250r geometry aftermarket frame built for a banshee. I've seen a couple pop up but way out of my wallets reach

A guy on the facebook page stuck a CR500 engine in a 400ex frame. I've always thought hybrids were cool but a CR500ex sounds like something I would really want to buy or build. It ran like a freakin' beast.

The problem with such two stroke swaps is the vibration can be quite insane in some cases. Ive ridden a few around when a friend brought his latest toy out and in some cases I was amazed and in others my entire body hurt from the vibration from the engine

A good buddy of mine has a full blown Laeger Banshee set up for XC. Awesome machine, fast as hell and handles great. CR500 linkage and Pro-trax, no expense spared. Here's a few pics.

That really is sweet, I would love to ride it. How old is the chassis and I have to ask what was the build price roughly?

Looks like I'm going to be picking up an 03 Banshee this next weekend if everything goes well! Selling my street bike on Monday and going to get the 'Shee Friday night. Here is a pic of it.

Am definitely keeping my 400 along with this. I just want something for the faster trails and open areas I ride. Getting tired of being dusted out by my bro and friend who have hopped up 400s and are talking high and mighty!

Mine was an 03 also but a blue one. A friend of mine had a black and red on Just like that. Trade that exhaust for an aftermarket one and you'll love it

I wish one of my friends would buy a banshee lol. Everyone around here has 400ex's or raptors except the few of my closer friends have 450s

I bought a banshee several months ago to ride in the snow. Well, that ship has sailed and I still haven't touched the thing. I hope to slap 'er together and ride it next winter. Banshees are a ton of fun, as long as you don't go thinking they are the best quad ever built, cause they're not.

I think the chassis is around a 2000. Not sure what he has in all together. When he bought it, the motor was in bad shape. It's all Duncan now.

ive owned and built a few of these. nothing else compares to the power of the banshee, its in its own class with the type of power it makes. my brother still has one but he has ridden the crap out of it and done several xc races with it and its in need of a full overhaul :p . the bad part about racing XC with a banshee is that if its a really muddy race, the radiator gets covered really easy and it over heats and seizes up, happened to my brother on a few races.

heres some old videos from back in my 2 stroke days
