Nice! Did you make these yourself or have them made?

I had them made by a guy in the 400ex facebook group, was like $56 and some change for both so I'm stoked about it. Now I just have to find a place that will anodize them in red and I will be happy. Gonna look sick on my new bars 1718107989

Got my quad back from the shop today and also got the covers in the mail. Damn it looks good. Still want them anodized red though. 1718108026

I got mine made by the same guy. Ignore the black sharpie and the rain made it crappy but he did killer work too!

Sweet! Yeah I'm really happy with them, they fit like a glove. I like the bee but you should do a paint fill instead of the marker. Brsh it on and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge.

Lol, good 'ole Mike. I just got a set of his frame guards PC'd red and put on my 400, they look pretty good other than the lettering doesn't really stand out, I thought about filling them with Sharpie like Phil did, but then I remembered what his looked like after awhile, lol. I did have to drill 2 holes in my frame after I got one end mounted and then first one I drilled for the other end didn't line up for some reason, and it did it on both sides, that kinda pissed me off but other than that install was easy. Also not really any of his work but I had the local Line X spray those little caliper guards for my 400 and they look pretty good. I mainly did it to match my color scheme but it should work pretty good too. I've just been doing stupid little things to it lately since I've ran out of things to buy for it, lol.

I've thought about getting Hipers for it, but I kind of like my metal rims. I would hate to put the Hipers on and then clip a tree root or something and ruin it when I could of had no problem with it on my ITPs. I've clipped a huge downed tree before and thought I ruined my axle and rim but when I jumped off and looked there wasn't a scratch on them. Plus I could spend that money on something else. I've already got Hipers on my 450, but that's my race bike, so weight is crucial there.

If you don't want the hipers get some Douglas beadlocks

I don't like the look of the Douglas bead locks. I plan on getting Hipers front and rear sometime, then putting red rings on them and mounting my 20 rears and 21 fronts on them. Then putting 22" DWT XCs on the rear on my ITPs and 23s on the front ITPs for serious rocky/rutted trail riding. But that's probably going to be awhile until I do that because all that is going to be crazy expensive.
