I've unbolted everything and sprayed with PB blaster and banged enough with a rubber mallet that I bent a perfectly good brake rotor and STILL can't get the front hub off. Is the best method to use puller to get it off? How quickly will the job go using a puller?

with a puller it will take you 30 seconds per side haha

Fantastic. I should have went with that method first. Might as well go ahead and invest in a puller from Harbor Freight. Thanks!

17 years ago I made a little tool for probably a dollar with a bolt and a threaded sleeve that I still use today. How much does a puller cost?

I paid $12.99, which was well worth it after all the swearing I had previously engaged in while trying to get the hubs off. Those fu*kers are on there damn good. I'll be replacing the bearings in each hub....does it require a press to get them back on? Or will some elbow grease/2x4 and hammer suffice?

$13 isn't bad to save yourself the headache. All you do to re-install is tighten the nuts back down to their torque spec.

That is the only good thing about Harbor Freight you can get what you need for cheap for that once in awhile you need that tool! Don't expect quality, just expect a tool to use every now and then for cheap that most of the time will work!
